The Color of The Flame
Today we had science YAY.

Today we were learning and using the Bunsen Burner.

We had to learn the safety rules first though obviously.

1. The location of the lab fire extinguisher and safety blanket is known.

2. Safety glasses were worn.

3. Long hair was tied back and loose items of clothing tucked away.

4. The Bunsen Burner was placed on a heat resistance surface. 

5. The Bunsen Burner is not too close to the edge of the desk.

6. The burner was connected to the gas tap correctly.

7. The rubber tubing was checked for cracks or leaks. 

8. The air hole on the Bunsen burner was closed before lighting.

9. The splint was lit before the gas was turned on.

10. The splint was positioned correctly while the gas was turned on.

11. The student can adjust the flame safely.

So after all that we could get started.

When we were using the Bunsen burner we had to make the different color flames e.g a blue to green flame. At the end we got a Bunsen Burner licence.
I liked using the Bunsen burner because i had never used one before. My favorite part was getting to see the flames change there color.

Hands On Fire

HANDS ON FIRE!!!

Aim: I want to  be safety able to set myself on fire.


Equipment
Water
soap
lighter
Safety glasses
lab coat

Method 
1. Be safe
2. wet your hands writs and forearms. 
3. Grab a scoop of bubbles.
4. Hold the bubbles up in front of your face, as far away from you as you can. Lock your elbows.
5. To get rid of fire, SLOWLY move your hands a part.
6.  DO NOT DROP YOUR HANDS BELOW YOUR EYE LEVEL because fire goes up and you will set yourself on fire.

Results 
The results are the when peoples hands are being set on fire people tend to drop there hands down.

Mintie writing

This is my writing about my first time tasting I Minnie I hope you experience Is amazing like mine 

I got handed a mintie. I had not tasted one before. It looked like a Christmas cracker with Christmas colors too. The wrapper had little picture of a man that was painting a house. It also had picture of a man with a cone in his hand and the ice cream on the ground.

It smelt like a candy cane. It also smelt like chewing gum.

It felt smooth on the middle of the wrapper. The ends of the wrapper felt crinkly like rubbing your hand on rock.

I opened the wrapper it sound like leaves moving in the breeze.

When I opened the wrapper I saw a white brick. It was really white, it was the whitest white I had ever seen. It smelt like I was smelling a million candy canes at once. It was even stronger without the wrapper. It felt really hard like a brick. I could not squish it with my fingers because it was so hard.

When I put in my mouth it was like trying to chew a brick. Eventually it softened and stuck to the roof of my mouth. It tasted like toothpaste. Then I started to chew the minute. It got stuck to my teeth and I could not get it out till later. Tasting the mintie was a great experience.

I will want a mintie again soon.

My Choclate Writing

We were learning how to make writing more interesting by adding smileys and objects we do this by writing the story in a bow and then we go on the second box witch is attempt 2 we make it better 5 times and the firth one is the best.The words that are highlighted in blue are adjectives and the words in green are my favourite sentience words.

Attempt 1: I put the chocolate on piece of paper I could not wait to eat it .It felt as soft as a bubble as I was holding it.I saw the chocolate staring at me and wanting me to eat it.I smelled a chocolate happy place it was so tempting to eat it.As I put it in my mouth I wanted more and more.When it poped in my mouth my tongue got coved in chocolate as melted away down my throat.

Attempt 2: I put the wondrous chocolate on my piece of paper I started to drool I couldn't wait to eat it. It felt like a round chocolate bubble as it melted in my hand.I saw the chocolate teasing me it was so tempting to eat it.When I smelled it I smelled a choc wondrous  place could not wait anymore so I slid it in my mouth .When it was in my mouth my tongue go covered in delicious chocolate as It melted away.

Attempt 3:I put the terrific chocolate on my piece of paper I started to drool I couldn't wait to  nibble it. It felt like a round chocolate bubble as it started to feel squishy as it metaled.I saw the chocolate was mocking me me it was so tempting to eat it.When I smelled it I smelled a choco wondrous  place could not wait anymore so I slid it in my mouth .When it was in my mouth my tongue go covered in delicious chocolate as It melted away.

Attempt 4:I put the remarkable chocolate on my piece of paper I started to drool I couldn't wait to  have a marvelous piece of chocolate. It felt like a round chocolate bubble  as it started to feel gowy as  it mealed.I saw the chocolate it was mocking me me it was so tempting to eat it.When I smelled it I smelled like best thing in the world I could not wait anymore so I slid it in my mouth .When it was in my mouth my tongue go covered in remarkable chocolate as It melted away.

Attempt 5:I put the sensational chocolate on my piece of paper even though I did not want to  I started to drool I couldn't wait to  have a sensational piece of chocolate. It felt like a round chocolate bubble  as it started to feel gowy as  it metaled. I.I saw the chocolate it was mocking me me it was so tempting to eat it.When I smelled it I smelled like best thing in the world I could not wait anymore so I slid it in my mouth .When it was in my mouth my tongue go covered in remarkable chocolate as It melted away.

Autumn Writing

We have been learning to make are writing more interesting.To do this we re-crafting are writing by using a describe map a describe map help us plan are Ides in better ways are topic was Autumn writing.Each time we wrought a paragraph we added adjectives and smileys.The yellow words that are highlighted in yellow are adjectives and The words highlighted in pink are smileys and green is my favorite sentence.So we can see are writing get better.My favorite thing about writing like this is I like to make my writing better and better.

1.Autumn is a cool season. In Autumn it starts to get colder because winter is coming.You start to put the fire on because the sun is not shinning .The night gets longer because the sun goes to sleep earlier. The leaves change couler because there is know sun to shine.The leaves start to fall because they are dieing .dieing. You start to have a leaf fight because the leaves are all over the ground.

2. Autumn is a beautiful season. In Autumn it starts to get icey cold because the snowy winter is coming.You start to put the fire to keep toasty because the sun is know longer there to keep us warm. The  nights go longer because daylight saving are near. The leaves change to a magical color because the bright warm sun is not there. The magical leaves start to fall because they are fading away. In Autumn it's a great Idea to have a leaf fight because wonderful colorful leaves are everywhere.

Autumn is a wonderful season.In Autumn it start to feel like your in an Ice block because The sowy winter is coming.You put the fire on to keep toasty warm like a oven  the warm sun is not there to shine. The nights get longer because daylight saving is just about hear.The leaves change to a magical colorful color because the bright shiny yellow sun is not shining.The beautiful wonderful leaves start to fall because they are slowly fading away. In Autumn it is the best idea to have a leaf fight because the wonderful color leaves are everywhere.

In Autumn it is a wonderful  idea to have a leaf fight because the rainbow color leaves are everywhere.
